ARYAN RAJAGOPAL: The next Einstein
When was the last time you were on board an aircraft? What time was it?
These questions might tickle your brain, but not this mind-boggling tween's. It is virtually impossible
to imagine how the human brain can have such an extensive memory platform. Aryan Rajagopal, of
Year 6D, knows it all!

The last time he travelled was on 14 th December, 2017 at 9:17p.m. When I placed this question
before him, his quick, confident answer left my jaw hanging down! It takes ages to memorise a
simple date for a History exam, and this boy memorises not only a date but a time as well, without
even putting in the slightest hint of effort!

Well, that’s only the beginning of the long list of his talents. Aryan absolutely adores palaeontology,
cartography, aerodynamics and is even a budding geologist! And he’s only 11 years old!
On being asked about his most prized possessions, he replied with a smile, “I have a whole
cupboard of favourite things!”

Well, I expected a few Hot Wheels and a couple of Lego-making sets. But Aryan is far more advanced
than that. He described a set of rocks that he had been collecting wherever he went, a few bones
and many microscopes (for observation). By now, my jaw was hanging even lower. His ideas were
just fascinating!

He also loves the ecosystem. On discussing one of his rock hunts in Oman, Aryan stated that - to his
delight - he unexpectedly found a fish back-bone and the claw of a crab. Although he really wanted
to take both, he urged himself to leave the crab claw behind, solely because he does not like
borrowing from the ecosystem.

This little explorer has his future perfectly mapped out. For the first 5 years of his adulthood, he
wants to explore the world with three of his best friends. Quite fascinating, isn’t it? But it doesn’t
end there. After that, they will go their separate ways and pursue their dreams.

For Aryan, it’s to become an aeronautical engineer alongside being a scientist. And he has gone 'all-
out' with his future pizza parlour project. He has already designed the flyers and even thought of the
shapes and flavours of his pizzas.

What will he do once he’s all grown up?!! All I can say is, “World, get ready for Aryan!”
It is quite rare to meet extraordinary people like Aryan and when we do, it is up to us to make the
most of their company while we can. After all, it’s not every day we come across Einstein, is it?
